Virat Kohli’s Childhood Coach Applies for Post of a Junior Team of Delhi
Rajkumar Sharma, the childhood coach of India skipper Virat Kohli, has applied for the post of Head Coach of a junior team in Delhi. He applied for the job when Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) advertised for various positions for different age group teams and Sharma forwarded his name for the same. He has earlier worked with Delhi U-19 in the past as a coach.

However, as per the rules, a candidate applying for the job should not hold an Academy or a club, and it is to be noted that Sharma is the owner of West Delhi Cricket Academy (WDCA). Virat Kohli is the product of this Academy, and as per the rules, he has to let go his position. He can’t be elected as the coach till he holds the cricket academy as this will raise the conflict of interest issue.
Along with that, Sharma is also working as a cricket expert in a news channel, and he also has to let go his role because the BCCI is now looking forward to going deep into media contracts of coaches, commentators, and board’s representatives.
