Virat Kohli's India Slip To 4th Place In The Latest ICC ODI Rankings 1

After the 2-0 Chappell-Hadlee series win against Australia at home, New Zealand have risen to third position while gaining two points in the latest International Cricket Council’s (ICC) One-Day International Rankings.

The Black Caps have gone past India’s 112 points despite the Men in Blue’s recent 2-1 series win over England at home.

However, Australia still tops the ICC Charts despite the ODI series loss with 118 points, but the Men in Baggy Green could be replaced by South Africa if they happen to achieve clean sweep against Sri Lanka in the ongoing five-match series.

Australia is No. 1 in the points table, following some spectacular performances in the 50-over game since last year but they have dropped two rating points, only to join South Africa at 118.

AB de Villiers’ side would ascend to 119 points in the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team Rankings if they win the remaining two matches against Sri Lanka, which are scheduled in Cape Town on February 7 followed by Centurion on February 10.

Kiwis sit at the third spot with 113 points after reclaiming the coveted Chappell-Hadlee Trophy by beating Australia in the series decider in Hamilton by 24 runs.

Before the three-match series, Black Caps were a point behind India on table with 111.

However, Kiwis are scheduled to play five-match series at home against South Africa from February 19 and Australia have their next fixture scheduled as the ICC Champions Trophy in 50-over format.

In June, India will defend their ICC’s Champions Trophy Title in England.
