Virender Sehwag Refers Marcus Stoinis As ‘Special Agent’ And Rishabh Pant As ‘Atom Bomb’

Virender Sehwag continued to entertain his fans with his quirky analysis of the games after Delhi Capitals thrashed Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 59 runs on Monday. Former Indian opener hailed Delhi Capitals Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant’s contribution and referred them as ‘Special agent’ and ‘Atom bomb’ respectively.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag had his own way of doing things ever since he became the part of Indian cricket by making a mockery of things. Virender Sehwag is a retired cricketer now but he has also been in his own zone as he is busy summarizing each game in his own fashion.

Virender Sehwag : Delhi’s Score Has Been Suffocated

After referring to CSK star opener Shane Watson as ‘Diesel engine’ on Monday, Virender Sehwag has now called Delhi Capitals’ Marcus Stoinis a ‘Special agent’ and Rishabh Pant an ‘Atom bomb’.

The two DC batsmen starred in Monday’s game versus Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant stitched 89 runs off 43 balls together and ended up on individual scores of 53 (26) and 37 (25), respectively. Delhi Capitals at once point were 3 down for 90 in 11 overs but they took their team’s total to 196/4 at the end of 20 overs.

“It was as if Delhi’s score has been suffocated. To fix it, ‘Special Agent’ Marcus Stoinis and ‘Atom Bomb’ Rishabh Pant arrived in. It was as if both of them save Delhi’s government from falling. It seemed as if Stoinis had quarrelled at home and come in to bat and took out all the anger on Bangalore bowler’s and the ball. Agent Stoinis’ successful operation took Delhi to 195,” Sehwag said on his show ‘Viru Ki Baithak’.

Further, Virender Sehwag said that it seemed as if the bad luck which has been following RCB for several years had left but it came back suddenly against Shreyas Iyer’s Delhi Capitals, who are sitting at the top of IPL 2020 after their 59-run win over RCB in Dubai.

“I am looking for the misfortune haunting Bangalore. It’s been haunting Cheeku’s (Virat Kohli’s) team for so long. It seemed like Bangalore was finally rid of it but it came back suddenly. Embarrassed Kohli’s team in front of Delhi. Ruined all the fun. Shreyas Iyer’s Delhi has come on the top of IPL 2020 points table”.

RCB though are in 3rd position with 6 points-3 wins and 2 losses from 5 matches. They lost against KXIP and DC but won against SRH(10 runs), MI(Super Over) and RR(8 wickets).

Virender Sehwag Compares Virat Kohli’s Condition As Thakur From Film Sholay

In one more amusing comparison, RCB skipper Kohli was compared to ‘Thakur’ of 1975 hindi movie ‘Sholay’. Opener Aaron Finch was compared to the character ‘Jay’ and AB de Villiers to ‘Veeru’. RCB allrounder Moeen Ali also got recognition and was called ‘Chachaji’ by the former Delhi batsman.

Aaron Finch, AB De Villiers and Moeen Ali were back to the pavilion by the end of 12th over and skipper Virat Kohli was left in the middle to battle alone against a very strong DC bowling attack. Virender Sehwag compared Virat Kohli’s situation to “Thakur’ of Sholay. The character in the movie had lost both his hands.

“After Aaron Finch, Nortje got AB de Villiers. Then even Moeen Ali left. Having lost Jay, Veeru and Chachaji (Moeen Ali), Cheeku’s condition was again like Thakur from Sholay,” he said.

Final comment from Virender Sehwag was reserved for Delhi pacer leading wicket taker of IPL 2020 Kagiso Rabada, who is more of a road roller than a bowler according to the Sultan of Multan.

“Rabada then got Virat Kohli and told then he showed all the other batsmen that he is not a bowler but a road roller.

“So, the moral of the story is that even though Virat Kohli is from Delhi but it was Delhi itself yesterday which confounded Kohli,” Sehwag concluded.

Kagiso Rabada had picked up 4 wickets conceding only 24 runs while MOM Axar Patel took 2 wickets and gave away only 18 runs.
