Virender Sehwag has always been a ‘man of the masses.’ He loves being connected with his fans. The jokes, memes and one –liners, all have gained him a much bigger fans base than his playing days. There is no denying that no cricketer is as active as Sehwag on social media. It is a fact with which everyone would agree.
But, while he may continue to prove that he is Indian cricket’s biggest and most popular entertainer, it also a wonderful thing that Sehwag never any distance to grow between him and his followers. It is often tough to see any cricketer of celeb reply to a fan’s request on the social media. But, Sehwag is different. He makes sure that the deserving ones get to know about him and his open hearted nature.
Recently, a ‘diehard’ fan experienced one of the most memorable day of his life when the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ wished him on the occasion of his birthday.
Amusingly, the request was not made directly; it was made by one of Sehwag’s Twitter fan page by the name of ‘V Sehwag Fans Fort.’ The page requested the former India opener to wish his diehard fan ‘Shibnarayan Viru.’
“Hie @virendersehwag paaji! Please do wish @ShibnarayanMoh2. It’s his Birthday today. He is one of your forever diehard fan Please wish him.”
