A few days ago, when Virender Sehwag again brought the matter of selection of India’s head coach in public. Sehwag surprised everyone when he said he lost the race to Ravi Shastri as he did not have any setting in BCCI. He also revealed that he talked with Indian skipper Virat Kohli before applying for the job. Later, though, he does not emerge out as the winner.
A couple of days after his comments, Sourav Ganguly said that he would talk to Sehwag regarding the matter and added that his remarks have come in disappointment.
After Ganguly’s statement, it looked like both of them would resolve the issue when Sehwag travels to Kolkata to perform commentary duty for the second ODI between India and Australia; but just a day before reaching the state, Sehwag has again taken a dig at Ganguly through a post on social media as he wrote –
It is to be noted that Ganguly was misquoted by few media persons a few days back and the former Indian captain clarified the matter on Twitter –
My quote on Sehwag completely false ..right quote ..Sehwag very dear to me .will speak to him soon ..

However, Sehwag looks to be disappointed by it as he has again taken up the issue. Though it is a fact that Ganguly was in favor of Sehwag for the job, the backing of Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar meant that Ravi Shastri emerged out as the winner in the end. He will continue to retain the post till the end of World Cup 2019.
