Virender Sehwag to be felicitated by BCCI during India vs South Africa 2015, 4th Test at Delhi
BCCI is planning to felicitate Virender Sehwag during the final Test match against South Africa in the upcoming Test series, which starts on November 5th next month. The felicitation is assumed to be on the final day of the Test match. The 4th Test match will be played at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi, which is Sehwag’s home ground.
Sehwag announced his retirement earlier this month on 20th, which was his 37th birthday. He retired from the International cricket and the IPL and will continue to play for Haryana in the Ranji trophy this year. He will also play in the T20 All-Star series in the US, featuring Sachin, Sehwag, Lara, Ganguly and several other retired cricketers.
Sehwag demolished al the attacks during his time and is the only Indian cricketer to have scored triple centuries, and he has two of them. He also holds the record of the fastest triple century in Tests.
Recently Zaheer Khan was felicitated at Wankhede Stadium during the 5th ODI between India and South Africa.
Indian team lost T20 as well as the ODI series and will look to make it up by winning the Test series. The first match will be played at Mohali and the pitch is expected to assist the spinners. R Ashwin is back into the squad and is all set to play the 1st Test match.
