Virender Sehwag trolls Morne Morkel

Known to have a great sense of humor, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is a highly followed professional on Twitter. The legendary batsman makes his views crystal clear by using his funny bone to a great effect. Sehwag’s antics were on display yet again as the Nawab of Najafgarh trolled two Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers via a tweet.

With the Knight Riders opting to field both Morne Morkel and Jason Holder, the emphasis was more on pace. Seeing this, Sehwag quickly posted an image, where the literal meaning of their names was taken into consideration. In the image, a “holder” is seen and below that, a peacock is seen. Peacock, since the word “Morne” literally translates into peacock in Hindi. Talk about having a witty sense of humor, and there you will find Mr. Sehwag!

The game between the Sunrisers and the Knight Riders was a well contested one, with the Sunrisers emerging victorious by 22 runs. David Warner was an ecstatic skipper post his side’s win and praised the unit for a good show in the middle.

“We fielded well and that’s what we set out to do as a group. You want to field well in those close games and this wasn’t one of them. Bipul Sharma came in very handy. It’s a tough wicket and runs always help in pressure situations in finals. Great execution by the bowlers. We took some spectacular catches in the outfield; it’s something we worked hard on,” said Warner.
