Virender Sehwag trolls Shikhar Dhawan 1

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was not the greatest of speakers during his playing days. However, the swashbuckling opener left the fans amazed with his unique and humorous style of commentary during this year’s ICC World T20. Who can forget his constant tussles with Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar which left the fans floored?  Pretty much like his skills with the bat, Sehwag is outspoken and unforgiving with his opinions on the mic.

Apart from the commentary he has also made sure to keep his fans entertained on social media too. The Nawab of Nnajafgarh has carved his own niche on Twitter with his unique tweets and has a huge fan following.

Well, the fans got the opportunity to hear him once again when the retired player made a comeback to the commentary box during India’s second Test against New Zealand at Eden Gardens and one can say that the fans were not disappointed.

The latest incident happened when Shikhar Dhawan was batting during the second innings. The southpaw was selected ahead of Gautam Gambhir to replace KL Rahul in the team who was ruled out of the series after suffering an injury in the first Test. Dhawan failed to perform in the first innings and was out for only 1. In the second innings, when he came to bat he received a blow on his thumb when a vicious delivery from Trent Boult hit his finger. Sehwag seized the opportunity and gave another proof of his brilliant sense of humour.

Sehwag said:” Well, after KL Rahul, Dhawan is also injured which means my friend Gambhir will play the next match.”

Gambhir has made a comeback to the Indian Test team after two years. Fans were expecting him to be selected in the playing eleven but the team management went ahead with out of form opener Shikhar Dhawan. Well, we really don’t want another player to get injured but just like Sehwag, we all definitely want to see an in-form batsman getting a chance rather than Dhawan who is struggling from a long time.
