The life of a soldier is hard, so as a cricketer’s when it comes to the national duty. While overwhelming against all odds they tend to sacrifice as they have been passionate to serve the country at will. Such is the story of a soldier and a sportsperson when realities hit the hard in lives.
Border Security Force constable Tej Bahadur Yadav, who is stationed at the front-line in Jammu and Kashmir, has posted a video on his Facebook account while taking about the bad quality of food and even went on to saying that they are supposed to go “empty stomach” at times which has drawn severe criticism from social media users after the video went viral on Monday.
Former Indian opener, who has been equally enjoying the micro-blogging website Twitter by posting his witty remarks to entertain his fans, has also voiced his opinion while saying that soldiers and farmers should be taken care off.
“Whatever said and done, our Soldiers and Farmers need to be taken better care of. Proper food needs to reach them all,” While reacting to the video, former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag Tweeted with a hashtag #FoodForSoldiers.
In a video message which might leave you in splits, Yadav has claimed to be from the 29th battalion of the BSF in Jammu & Kashmir State and has further stated that the purpose of uploading the video was to highlight the plight of forces, who are serving the country in the severe cold conditions in the hilly terrains.
However, BSF in its press release has brushed aside constable’s allegations while stating that ration is available at the location in “good quality and variety”.
