England may not be winning games in this series but yes they are winning tosses. Winning the toss for the third time in the series, England team decided to bat first on what is reckoned to be a tricky surface for batsmen. The visitors made a pre-announced change in the form of Keaton Jennings, who made his Test debut and also became the 11th opening partner for Alastair Cook since the retirement of Andrew Strauss in the year 2012. Jake Ball too returned for England.
India made two expected changes as Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned after a gap of few months. KL Rahul replaced injured Ajinkya Rahane and Karun Nair also retained his place.
