Waqar Younis takes a dig at India's heartbreaking loss in the semi-finals 1
Waqar Younis feels Australia will find the going tough against spirited Pakistan.

Former Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis took yet another dig at the Indian cricket team after their semi-final loss to New Zealand in Manchester. Virat Kohli‘s men put up a fight but went down losing by 18 runs. Waqar had earlier questioned India’s sportsmanship after their defeat to England in the group stages. India’s loss to the hosts ruled out Pakistan’s chance of making it to the last four.

He tweeted, “Such a brutal game this Cricket and a great leveler… Bites you back when you are expecting the least #CWC19 I learnt a great lesson today “Never Abuse The Game.” It was clearly indicated at the men in blue. India finished on top of the points table at the end of the league stage.

New Zealand beat heavy-weight India to advance to the finale

The Kiwis came into the semis as the fourth-ranked side and they were the underdogs going into the knock-out clash. The Indian bowlers restricted the Blackcaps to 239/8 but lost their top-order after Matt Henry and Co. sent back Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul for mere one run each.

Waqar lost his cool after India’s loss to England

This is the not the first instance where the former paceman has lost his cool, Waqar was fuming after India lost to Eoin Morgan‘s men by 31 runs at Edgbaston on June 30. Many said that MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav didn’t accelerate and the intent was missing. Post that particular game, Waqar had tweeted, “It’s not who you are.. What you do in life defines who you are.. Me not bothered if Pakistan gets to the semis or not but one thing is for sure.. Sportsmanship of few Champions got tested and they failed badly.” For the second consecutive time, New Zealand have advanced into the finals. They will take on either of Australia or England in the finale at Lord’s.
