Pakistan’s legendary pace duo Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis found themselves in a controversial situation on twitter when they exchanged unhealthy tweets.
Akram and Waqar are two of the greatest pace bowlers ever to have played the game as their partnership was the most destructive in the 1990s and early 2000s. The controversy transpired due to Wasim Akram’s comments recollecting the iconic 10-wicket feat achieved by Anil Kumble at the Feroz Shah Kotla in 1999.
“Kumble had got nine wickets and I and Waqar were batting in the crease. Waqar came to me and said that “How about getting run out..? so that Kumble does not get his 10th wicket”, Akram recalled.
The legendary bowler reportedly told Waqar that Kumble will achieve the feat. “You can’t deny him the feat if he is destined for it. But I can assure you that I am not going to give my wicket to Kumble but subsequently it was me who gifted my wicket to Kumble”, added Akram.
Kismat ke aage ,all saazish fail.

However, all did not go well with the statement as his fellow pacer Waqar Younis seemed unhappy with the way he was portrayed in the incident and followed it with a tweet which read: “@wasimakramlive This never happened !! I think age is catching up with Wasim Bhai #NotTrue.”
