Wasim thinks that this is the appropriate time for Pakistani players to enter the IPL
Former skipper Wasim Akram thinks that the competition is a proper stage for the Pakistani players back into the Indian Premier League because it is going to support the player to get more coupled with more buffs who belong not only to the subcontinent but also crosswise the globe.
Pakistani players have been restrained from taking part in the IPL after the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. They could participate in the inaugural edition of the IPL but since then they have been disallowed in the disguises of different issues, obviously political ambiguity between two countries is one of the main hindrance.
“Whenever India and Pakistan cricketers have faced off either against each other or together, they have drawn the attention of a lot of crowds and you get flood of support, especially in this part of the globe. I assume in near future Pakistani players will be capable to take part because we have great talent.” Wasim stated in an interview to a Pakistan-based cricket website.
Wasim believes that Pakistani cricketers can add a significant contribution to any top class Twenty20 competition. “Suppose Saeed Ajmal playing. It would definitely been excellent in this situations.” The bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders said.
“Umar Akmal, Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi playing would have been massive. This was their homeland, but let’s sees it’s a declaration of the cricket boards of both countries has to concern. Mixing sports and politics was going to do no sound.” Wasim said, attributing the issue that the first peg of the event is being held in the UAE.
Wasim thinks that the condition and infrastructures in the UAE are absolutely perfect for the international cricket.
“It seems good to be back and seeing the convenience here I must say it is as perfect as any ground I have seen around the globe. I’m pretty confident IPL will jump-off with a thud here. The fizz is already around and my friends were calling and asking for tickets again.” The pacer seems excited.
He alleged he knew the wickets in the UAE like the back of his hand and his expertise will surely advantage KKR.
“The circumstances are alike and apparent better stumps with the ball coming finely on the bat and it will be beneficial for the T20 format. In T20 cricket, people come for enjoyment and it is sixes, fours and wickets that make it alluring.” He said.
