Tim Paine has been a sweet Australian story this summer. Be it his way of taking on the opposition, his banters with the players or even advising someone to babysit, Paine is all over the news. Most recently, the Australia captain attended a reporter’s phone call during the press conference in Sydney.

Paine brings laughter on the table

Unlike a few Australia captains in the past, Tim Paine is more cheeky and knows his line even during the banters. Making headlines for the way he conducts himself on the field, Tim Paine brought laughter on the table during the PC. Post day two play at the SCG, Paine was attending the media when a phone call rang and disrupted his flow. Picking up the phone, Paine introduced himself first and later informed the person on the other side about his ongoing interaction with the media.

Remaining very subtle and sweet in his approach, the Australia captain cut down the call by reminding Martin, whose phone was it, to check his emails.

India dominates day two in the fourth Test

The second day of the fourth Test had India written all over it. From the word go, the pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari began finding the gaps. Though Vihari’s controversial out created a bit of unrest, Pujara’s marathon knock of 193 put India ahead. Nathan Lyon, Australia’s highest wicket-taker so far in the series, got his wicket.
