Just months after the infamous ball-tampering scandal in the Cape Town Test, another Australia player Adam Zampa could land in hot waters.
The cricketing world was left shell-shocked in March after Australian players admitted to ball-tampering in the third Test against South Africa. Opener Cameron Bancroft was sensationally caught rubbing sandpaper on the ball in order to alter its state. Not surprisingly, the repercussions soon followed.
ICC banned skipper Smith for one match before Cricket Australia (CA) dealt with the matter separately.

It banned Smith and his deputy David Warner for a year and handed Bancroft a nine-month ban.
And at a time when Australian cricket is yet to come to terms with that scandalous event, they might suffer another blow. Footage from the recently-concluded second ODI against South Africa showed their leg-spinner Adam Zampa doing something that is bound to raise a lot of eyebrows.
Zampa seemed to put his hand in his trouser pocket and then rubbed the same hand on the ball to shine it. He was also seen handing something off to Glen Maxwell before shining the ball.

Australia, meanwhile, registered a hard-fought seven-run victory in Adelaide to level the three-match ODI rubber against South Africa 1-1. The win also ended Australia’s seven-match losing streak in ODIs.
