India was able to win the inaugural edition of the World T20 in 2007. It was a nail-biter contest between the two biggest nemeses of the cricket world. The match went down to the wire as India won by just five runs, thereby getting over the line by the skin of their teeth.
Misbah-ul-Haq tried to play a cheeky shot over the short fine leg and Sreesanth took one of the important catches of his career. Gautam Gambhir scored a fine 75 to take India’s total to 157 runs. Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan was the star of the show with the ball as he scalped three wickets and conceded only 16 runs in his four overs quota.
