Watch: Arjun Tendulkar Does Yuvraj Singh to Fetch Six
During a match against Eagle Thane Strikers, Arjun Tendulkar was seen hitting a six that reminded people of Yuvraj Singh. Arjun played a pull stroke that went off the boundary for Aakash Tigers on 16 May, 2019 during the Mumbai T20 League.
The incident took place during the eighth over where Arjun pulled superbly on the bowling of Surve bowler. Arjun’s stroke reminded Indian fans of the veteran star Yuvraj Singh, who played the very shot during his peak days.
Yuvraj was one of the best power-hitters in the world in ODI cricket. He created an impact on the world with his famous six-sixes hit against Stuart Broad in 2007.
The match, however, was won by Eagle Thane Strikers by six wickets. Aakash Tigers posted 136 runs losing eight wickets. Arjun scored 23 runs off 18 balls with his impressive display of strokes but was taken down by A. Jaiswal. Meanwhile, Arjun also bowled well while conceding 30 runs in 3.1 overs but without a wicket.
In his debut match against Triumph Knights Mumbai, Arjun scored a similar score with 23 off 19 balls whereas, he took one wicket in three overs giving away 21 runs. So far, he has played two matches with the later one ending as a memorable match for the Yuvi stroke that he pulled off.
Aakash Tigers is currently at 5th position with one win and two losses from three matches, while Eagle Thane Strikers at 6th place with the same number of points.
