Australia, on Friday (March 3), bounced back in style to win the third Test against India in the ongoing four-match series. While the visitors have already conceded an unassailable lead in the series after losing the first two Tests, they have kept alive their chances of avoiding a fourth straight series defeat against India.

The win has also helped Australia become the first team to book a place in the final of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle. The final is scheduled to take place at the Oval in London later this year.

It took the Steve Smith-led side just two days and one session to beat India in their own backyard. On the third day, Australia needed 76 runs to win the game and they did it with ease. The start was a shaky one as they lost Usman Khawaja for a duck on the very second ball of the innings. However, Travis (49*) and Marnus Labuschagne (28*)played fine knocks to take their team home.

Matthew Kuhnemann picked up 5 wickets in the first innings while off-spinner Nathan Lyon took 8-64 in the second innings. Australia, on the other hand, scored 197 runs in their first innings to take a handy lead of 88 runs.

Australia fan leaves others in splits:

While Australia registered a memorable win on the field, one of their fans decided to entertain others with a hilarious gesture. In a video that is going viral on social media, the Australian fan could be seen saying the famous dialogue from Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa’.

The fan said: “Jhukega nahi sala (won’t bow down)” while also doing the hand gesture, leaving other fans in splits as they cheered him up.
