Dan Christian and Mohammad Nabi’s unbroken 94-run stand led Melbourne Renegades to a thrilling five-wicket win over Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League on Sunday.
Batting first, the defending champions from Adelaide recovered from a disastrous start to post 174 for 5. The Strikers were reeling at 63 for 3 before a century partnership between Matt Short and Jonathan Wells guided them to a competitive total. Things then became better for the Strikers when spin sensation Rashid Khan (2-13), and Billy Stanlake (2-43) had helped their side reduce the Renegades to 82 for 5.
The President @MohammadNabi007 was in fine form at the Adelaide Oval.

However, the Strikers had no answer to on how to stop Dan Christian (49*) and Mohammed Nabi(48*). The duo’s stunning partnership swung the game in the Renegades’ favour. In the 19th over of the innings, Christian hit Stanlake for 20 runs to put the Renegades in command.
Christian’s contribution was made all the more impressive after the match as reports emerged the veteran was hospitalised earlier on Sunday with food poisoning. Christian had gone on to scoop the Man of the Match award for his impressive show.

But soon after the game, Nabi gave an absolute bizarre interview where he said he don’t know who Dan Christian is. Even though the interviewer explained to Nabi that Christian was in hospital before the game, the Afghanistan star looked clueless and ended up giving a bizarre comment.
Here is a clip showing the same:
“Who?”
“Dan Christian, he was in hospital this morning”
“I don’t know who that is”Arguably better than the run chase #BBL08 pic.twitter.com/Lj0cvikt3J
