India skipper Rohit Sharma has failed to get going with the bat in the ongoing Test against Australia at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The right-handed batsman began the series on a stunning note by smashing a classy century in the first Test in Nagpur.
However, things have not panned out in an expected manner for him since the century. In the second Test in Delhi, he got the starts in both the innings but could not score big. The India opener scored 32 in the first innings before scoring 31 in the second.
And his form has further dipped in the ongoing Test as he scored 12 runs in each of the two innings. In the first innings, he got stumped off Matthew Kuhnemann’s bowling when he danced down the track to play a big shot before Nathan Lyon had him lbw in the second innings.

Fan taunts Rohit Sharma:
While Rohit Sharma was fighting it out with the bat against Australia in Indore, the microphones caught a fan taunting the India star. The fan could be heard saying ‘ai vada pav’
Rohit Sharma has been targeted by few with the taunt for quite some time now due to his weight. Time and again, the India batting superstar has been body shamed on social media and the latest incident is yet another reminder that it is nowhere close to coming to an end.
Last year, former India opener Virender Sehwag had also caused a stir on the social media with his ‘vada pav’ inspired tweet following Mumbai Indians defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. After Pat Cummins pulled off a miraculous win for KKR over Mumbai Indians, Sehwag had tweeted: “Moonh se nivala cheen liya ,, sorry vada pav cheen liya. Pat Cummins, one of the most insane display of clean hitting , 15 ball 56.” Unsurprisingly, he was slammed by fans for his insensitive tweet.
