Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard were involved in a hilarious banter over the recently-concluded IPL 2023. After starring for their respective teams in the IPL, both the T20 World Cup-winning stars retired from the T20 tournament last year and served as coaches in this year’s edition.

While Dwayne Bravo was with Chennai Super Kings, Kieron Pollard plied his trade for Mumbai Indians. Unlike Pollard, Dwayne Bravo found success in his maiden stint as an IPL coach. Chennai Super Kings went on to win the title and equal Mumbai Indians’ record of 5 IPL titles. The MS Dhoni-led side beat Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets (DLS method) in a thrilling final to clinch the title.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, made it to the playoffs but their campaign ended with a defeat against Gujarat Titans in the second Qualifier. And few days after the triumph, Dwayne Bravo hilariously decided to have some fun at the expense of his former West Indian teammate. The duo recently took a car ride together and Dwayne Bravo used the opportunity to remind Pollard about Chennai Super Kings’ success in a hilarious manner.

Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard involved in banter:

It was Kieron Pollard who began the banter by asking Dwayne Bravo how it felt to have 5 titles in the IPL. Pollard was part of all the Mumbai Indians squad that won 5 IPL titles. Bravo, on the other hand, went on to remind Pollard about CSK’s two Champions League titles and claimed that the franchise is the most successful IPL team. Bravo also reminded Pollard about his 17 T20 titles.

“Talking about franchise cricket, I have 17 trophies. How many do you have?” Bravo asked.

In reply, Pollard said that he does not have a count before Bravo said that his former teammate has only 15 and flaunted that he now has a trophy as a coach as well.

“Put some respect on my name please,” Bravo said.

Here is a clip of the hilarious banter between the two:
