ToggleAt a time when the fans are desperately waiting to see their favourite stars setting the stage on fire in the Indian Premier League, former England U-19 player Will Jacks has hogged the limelight by smashing a stunning 25-ball hundred during a pre-season T10 match for Surrey against Lancashire in Dubai. Jacks hit the hapless Lancashire bowlers all around the park during his whirlwind knock.
During the course of his stunning knock, he also smashed six sixes in an over with Stephen Parry being at the receiving end while bowling the fifth over of the innings. As a result of those sixes, Jacks raced away to 98 from 62 in a span of six deliveries and got to his hundred in the following over.
The 20-year old had the chance to reach his century in less than 25 balls as he had reached 98 in just 22 balls. However, he faced a couple of dot balls against Croft before hitting a sweet cover-drive to complete a sensational ton.

Jack’s onslaught eventually ended in the ninth over for 105 off 30 balls. His knock, nonetheless, helped Surrey score a mammoth 176 for 3 in the allotted 10 overs.
In reply, Lancashire started brightly. They raced away to 48 in just three overs. However, the mammoth asking run-rate finally got the better of them. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 81 in just 9.3 overs as Surrey clinched a 95-run win.

Meanwhile, the record for fastest century in T20 cricket belongs to Chris Gayle. The West Indies star had scored his hundred in just 30 balls during his epic 175-run knock against Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League in 2013. AB de Villiers holds the record for fastest ODI hundred for reaching the feat in 31 balls against West Indies in 2015.
