Watch: Hardik Pandya Finally Resumes His Bowling After Recovering From Back Injury
Hardik Pandya has finally returned to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a back injury. The allrounder had a disappointing end to the Asia Cup game in September.
He was stretchered off the field for an “acute lower back injury” during the game against Pakistan. The incident took place in the 18th over of the Pakistan innings when the allrounder was bowling his fifth over. It was the fifth delivery and Pandya, after completing the follow through, immediately felt his lower back and lay on the ground in considerable pain.

He was soon taken off on a stretcher on physio Patrick Farhart’s advice. He was then ruled out of the entire tournament as BCCI confirmed the allrounder suffered an acute back injury.
Thereafter he missed the full-fledged series against Windies at home. Well, Hardik Pandya has finally resumed his bowling. He took to Instagram to post a video of his bowling, writing:

Meanwhile, India head coach Ravi Shastri said the team will miss the services of Hardik Pandya in the upcoming series against Australia. The allrounder was not named in the T20I as well as Test squad due to the injury.
“One player we will miss is Hardik Pandya, who has an injury,” he said.

“He gives us that balance to the side as a bowler and a batsman which allows you to play that extra bowler – now we have to think twice.
“Hopefully he will get fit soon, the fast bowlers do well and we might not miss him too much.”
