The Indian women’s T20I captain, Harmanpreet Kaur had a perfect start to her Kia Super League debut for Lancashire Thunder.

Kaur kept her nerve, as she provided the finishing touches to her franchise to get them home by five wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur also smashed a six on the penultimate ball when four runs were needed.

In fact, 11 runs were required off the last over for the Lancashire Thunder. Consequently, the swashbuckling batsman, Kaur was able to score a quickfire 34 off 21 balls to get her franchise over the line.

The right-hander scored three fours and a maximum in her blistering innings. Interestingly, this was Harmanpreet’s maiden innings in the Kia Super League. Furthermore, the Indian women T20I skipper had also played for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.

Harmanpreet was able to hold on to her nerves.

Batting first, Surrey Stars were able to score 148 in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Natalie Sciver scored an unbeaten 95 to get her team to a respectable total. Emma Lamb was able to scalp three wickets for the Lancashire Thunder.

Meanwhile, the pillars of run-chase were put by southpaw Australian batswoman, NE Bolton. The left-hander scored a fine 87 off 61 balls to take Lancashire Thunder in touching distance of the target.

Natalie Sciver continued her batting confidence, as she scalped two wickets in her four-overs quota.

Meanwhile, it was a perfect start for the combative Indian batswoman. Subsequently, the right-handed power-hitter will like to continue with her good form.

Meanwhile, Lancashire Thunder is at the third place on the points table. They have won three matches out of four, and thus they have 13 points under their belt.
