Pakistan seamer Hasan Ali is widely known for his celebration after taking his dismissal. Ali has landed himself in mud as he claimed the catch even after dropping it. The controversial incident happened in the first tour match of Pakistan against Kent. In fact, what was worse than Hasan claiming the catch was that the umpire gave the decision in favour of the fielding side.
Hasan Ali bowled a short delivery to Alex Blake and the southpaw batsman got a top edge which ballooned back to the bowler. However, Ali fluffed a simple catch and then acted as if he had caught to continue his celebration. Thus, Ali didn’t show the right spirit as he tried to foul the umpires. In fact, the umpires were also at fault as they failed to notice that Hasan Ali had dropped the catch.
This was absurd.
Meanwhile, Pakistan cruised to a comfortable win as they won by a margin of 100 runs. The Men in Green had posted a gargantuan score of 358 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
Furthermore, Pakistan veteran batsman Shoaib Malik has returned back to the country due to personal reasons. The talisman batsman is expected to join his teammates on 10th May.
On the other hand, Pakistan became the first side to reach England before the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. Pakistan will play one T20 and five One Day Internationals against the hosts to prepare for the forthcoming ODI showpiece.
The one-off T20I will take place on 5th May whereas the first ODI will be played on 8th May. England will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on 30th May, which would be the opener of the tournament. Pakistan will play their first match of the quadrennial event on 31st May against the Windies.
