Ahead of the all-important final against England on Sunday (July 23), Mithali Raj & Co. were joined at Lord’s in their preparations by Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. The 17-year old, who has represented Mumbai in Under-14 and Under-16 cricket, lives at an apartment owned by his father which is not very far away from Lord’s.
He has been seen bowling to England’s men team on several occasions and was recently in news for nearly injuring Jonny Bairstow with a yorker before England’s first Test against South Africa. The left-arm pacer, nevertheless, was at Lord’s once again to bowl at India’s women team.

Here is a clip showing the budding cricketer bowling to India’s middle-order batswoman Veda Krishnamurthy.

The Women in Blue, meanwhile, will be hoping to continue their red-hot form against the hosts in the much-awaited final. Mithali Raj and her teammates made it to the final with a thumping win over defending champions Australia and would be backing themselves to win one more game to lay their hands on the coveted and the elusive World Cup. Moreover, India have already defeated England once in the tournament and it will surely boost their confidence.
