Watch: MS Dhoni At His Witty Best During The Ongoing ODI Series 1

Mahendra Singh Dhoni might have stepped down from captaincy but the 35-year old is still pulling the strings on the field.

Starting from field placements to taking a final call on whether to use the Decision Review System or not, the World Cup-winning skipper has been in thick of the action in the ongoing series against England. Well, the situation is really a healthy one for newly-appointed skipper Virat Kohli as well as for the team.

Before the series, Dhoni had said that he was not ready to give up on the responsibilities even after resigning from the captaincy.

Speaking before the first ODI, he had said:“Wicketkeeper is always the vice-captain of the side irrespective of whether he’s announced vice-captain or not.”

“In this scenario, I’ll have to keep an eye out on what the skipper really wants. I’ve already had this chat with Virat about this,” he had added.

Well, India’s most decorated skipper has been true to his words and has played a key role in helping Kohli marshal the young team. Leaving the captaincy has not affected Dhoni at all and one can know about it from the way he has behaved from behind the stumps. Dhoni is known for his witty remarks during wicketkeeping and it has continued in this series too.
