Watch: Nathan Lyon Ends Cheteshwar Pujara's Resilient Knock With Classic Delivery 1

After KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara too squandered an opportunity to post a big score after getting a good start as Nathan Lyon dismissed the in-from batsman in the very first over after the tea break to reduce India to 157 for 3.

A rare lapse of concentration had seen Rahul throwing away his wicket after scoring his fourth fifty of this series. But Pujara along with stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane shared 45 runs to help India walk into the tea break without suffering any further setback. Both the batsmen were well set, especially Pujara and the hosts would have wanted them to consolidate India’s grip on the match by sharing a big stand in the after-tea session. However, a classic off-spin delivery from Lyon dashed India’s hopes. Pujara, who had struck a double-century in Ranchi, tried to defend Lyon’s delivery by lunging forward but was undone by the drift and the bounce of the delivery. The ball landed outside the off-stump and after hitting the gloves, then the pad, lobbed up to the short-leg region where Peter Handscomb made no mistake in pouching the catch with a timely dive. The Saurashtra batsman departed after scoring 57 from 151 balls.

Here is a clip of that wicket:
