Australia skipper Pat Cummins, on Monday (June 19), clean bowled Ollie Pope with a stunning yorker in the second innings of the ongoing first Ashes Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Pope and Joe Root gave England a good positive start with the bat on the fourth morning. England were under pressure at the start of the day after resuming the proceedings on 28 for 2. An early wicket would have put them in more trouble. However, Pope and Root did not let Australia take an early advantage and played positive cricket.

The duo added 49 runs in no time before Pat Cummins bowled an unplayable yorker. On a pitch that has assisted the fast-bowlers very little, the Australia skipper led from the very front by giving his team the much-needed breakthrough. Before Pope and Root could bat England to a position of strength, the former received a stunning delivery from Cummins.

On the final ball of the 17th over, Cummins bowled an inswinging yorker at almost 140 kph. Pope just could not do anything as he failed to bring his bat down in time. The ball went on to crash into the stumps and uprooted the off-stump.
