With Australia captain Steve Smith looking in absolutely divine form in the ongoing fourth Test in Dharamsala, India needed something special to get rid of the in-form batsman and R Ashwin provided that magical delivery.
The hosts were in a spot of bother after David Warner and Steve Smith struck half-centuries and helped the visitors to score 131 for 1 in the opening session. However, India fought back in the next session with debutant Kuldeep Yadav (3) and Umesh Yadav (1) reducing the Aussies to 178 for 5. But the presence of Smith was still a big concern for the hosts as the Australian captain was dealing with the Indian bowlers with utmost ease. With no ploy working against Smith, R Ashwin decided to go around the stump and the move immediately made the difference. The Tamil Nadu ace bowled an angled delivery which did not turn at all and Smith while trying to defend it could only edge it to Ajinkya Rahane in the slip cordon.
