Afghanistan teenage sensational Rashid Khan has already made giant strides in international cricket and is already touted as the next big thing of Afghanistan Cricket. He has bamboozled many top class batsmen with his exceptional bowling abilities. He can turn the ball at pace and make the life of any batsman pretty difficult. It has been a tough job for the opposition batsmen to counter the mystery yet traditional leg-spin.
He was called as the ‘Million Dollar Baby” after the leggie bagged a whopping Rs 4 crores in the Indian Premier League auctions and became the first player from Afghanistan to play in the IPL. He was a very calm and composed customer during the tournament and conducted himself pretty well to stay out any controversy. It wasn’t the case though when the teenager was playing in a Carribean Premier League match for the Guyana Amazon Warriors against the Trinbago Knight Riders.
He was infuriated when Kiwis southpaw Colin Munro attempted a reverse sweep of his bowling. The pace at which he bowls makes him a challenging prospect to deal with, and Rashid was perhaps unhappy that Cunro even dared to execute the reverse sweep. He just got a single, but Rashid was not happy.
He glared at Munro for quite a long time before returning to his bowling mark. Even after going to his fielding mark after the over he was seen shaking his head from his fielding position. He walked down the track to Munro and murmured a few words to get under the skin of the swashbuckling left-handed batsman.
