Pakistan teammates Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi were up against each other when Peshawar Zalmi locked horns against Lahore Qalandars on Sunday (February 27) in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Babar vs Shaheen battle was one of the most-talked about topics before the game and it is safe to say that the pacer passed the test with flying colours. Shaheen Afridi began the match in a stunning fashion. On the very first ball, he broke Mohammad Haris’ bat into two pieces.
The right-handed batsman went for a drive but the ball low on his bat and broke it into a couple of pieces. It was followed by yet another brilliant delivery. The left-arm pacer castled Haris on the second ball with a sensational yorker.

Babar Azam vs Shaheen Afridi battle:
Shaheen Afridi first faced Babar Azam in his second over. On the second ball of the over, Babar Azam took a single before getting the strike on the 4th ball of the over. The Pakistan skipper came up with a stunning drive for a four down the ground.

And just when everyone was expecting a good battle between the two, Shaheen Afridi castled Babar Azam on the very next delivery with a peach to win the battle.

Shaheen went on to complete a five-wicket haul to guide his team to a win. Batting first, the Qalandars scored a massive 241 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman laid the foundation for the big total by smashing 96 runs off 45 balls with the help of three fours and 10 sixes.
Abdullah Shafique also played a fine knock, scoring 75 runs off 41 balls. In reply, Peshawar Zalmi finished their innings on 201 for 9.
