Indian opener Rohit Sharma took a stunning one-handed blinder at third slip to dismiss Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque. Seamer Umesh Yadav was able to produce the outside edge of the left-hander and Rohit jumped to his right to grab a stunning catch. Umesh Yadav also struck once more to dismiss Shadman Islam.
In fact, it was Virat Kohli’s catch at third slip but Rohit went for it. Umesh Yadav also struck again in the same over as he sent down the stumps of Mohammad Mithun cartwheeling.
India is right on top.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque won the toss and decided to bat first. The Indian seamers have been all over Bangladesh and the visitors are in tatters at 38-5.
Indian veteran seamer Ishant Sharma became the first Indian bowler to strike with the pink ball. The right-arm pacer was able to plumb Bangladesh opener, Imrul Kayes.
Subsequently, Mohammed Shami was able to get the big wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim. The right-hander chopped the ball back on to the stumps to leave his team reeling.
On the other hand, there has been a lot of movement with the pink ball. The ball has moved a mile especially after going past the stumps. Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has had a tough day so far but he has been brilliant behind the stumps.
Meanwhile, both the teams have lost one of their reviews. Imrul Kayes went for the review when he was dead plumb in front of the wickets. Furthermore, India also wasted their review when Marais Erasmus ruled that there was no inside edge.
Indian fast bowlers have been right on the money and they would like to continue their domination going. The hosts had won the first Test by an innings and 135 runs and thus lead the series 1-0.
