Pakistan’s former opening batsman Salman Butt was at his best in the 3rd match of the ongoing Qatar T10 League at Doha. Falcon Hunters needed five runs off the last ball and Butt was able to smash a six to help his side get over the line with six wickets in hand. The southpaw batsman was able to time the ball to perfection towards the extra cover region.
Munaweera bowled a length ball and he had to pay the price. Butt was awarded the Man of the Match for scoring a fine knock of 39 runs from 27 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.

Meanwhile, Falcon Hunters captain Iqbal Hussain won the toss and decided to bowl first. Subsequently, Heat Stormers posted a score of 103 runs in their quota of 10 overs. Dharmang Patel top-scored for the Stormers as he scored an unbeaten knock of 26 runs from 14 balls with the help of one four and two sixes.
Tamoor Sajjad scalped two wickets for Falcon Hunters whereas Saad Bin Zafar and skipper Iqbal Hussain snared one wicket apiece.
On the other hand, Falcon Hunter’s opener Hashim Amla scored 17 runs as they got off to a slow start. Kamran Khan scored 18 runs with the help of two fours and one six.
Mohammed Rizlan provided the finishing touches as he scored 24 runs from 11 balls with the help of three fours and one six. Meanwhile, Owais Shah took three wickets but his spell went in vain as Falcon Hunters grabbed the nail-biter.
Salman Butt was banned from the game after he was involved in spot-fixing in 2010 in the Lord’s Test. Subsequently, he never could play for Pakistan again. The left-hander scored 1889 in 33 Test matches and 2729 runs in 78 One Day Internationals. He also scored 595 runs in 24 T20Is for Pakistan and also played seven IPL games.
