After the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, and Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is all set to start a new inning off the field, as he is gearing up to tie the knot with Nupur Nagar on 23rd of this month. In a video uploaded by Dhawan on Instagram, the fast-bowler himself revealed his wedding date.

The duo has left the team after the first Test against Sri Lanka due to personal reasons. Bhuvneshwar, who bagged the Man of the Match award in the first Test, will miss the remainder of the series while Dhawan would be available for the last and third Test.

But before leaving for their respective homes, the duo made sure to update the fans on the major event that would take place in a couple of days.

Dhawan began the video on a funny note, stating that Bhuvneshwar is all set to become a ‘joru ka gulaam’ before asking the pacer about the excitement he is going through.

“Lo ji humara ek sher kal joru ka gulaam ban jaega. Isse puchte hai ki Motichoor ka Ladoo jo khae vo pachtae ya jo na khae vo pachtae (One of our teammates is going to get married, so let’s just ask him how does he feel)?,” he said.

“Lo ji ban gya ek aur joru ka ghulam @imbhuvi ..??Wish you a very happy married life bro..???,” Dhawan wrote on Instagram along with posting the video.

In reply, Bhuvneshwar said he is unaware of what was going on at his home due to playing commitments and confirmed his wedding dates.

“There is no excitement as such as I was on national duty till now and all the preparations are done by the families. So, I will only get to see how it feels when I reach home tomorrow (Tuesday),” he said.

“Whatever, I have learned from these players (referring to Dhawan), I can say that it is very enjoyable,” Bhuvneshwar added.

Bhuvneshwar got engaged to Nupur Nagar in Greater Noida on October 4th. Meanwhile, the wedding ceremony will be followed by a couple of receptions on November 26 and 30, the latter of which will be hosted in Delhi and will be attended by the Indian cricket team.
