Smearing the cake on the birthday boy’s face has become a tradition in the Indian dressing room and skipper Virat Kohli was not spared either. The Indian run-machine turned 29 on Sunday (November 5) and his teammates and the support staff made sure to celebrate it in the dressing room.

As usual, the proceedings began on a calmer note with the birthday boy taking the centre-stage and cutting the cake. It was then followed by Kohli offering a piece of the cake to his teammate Shikhar Dhawan. And as soon as he completed it, the players could be heard saying:“Chalo yaar (Lets get ready guys.),” a clear indication of what was going to happen.
Well, on the very expected lines, within no time, Kohli’s face was smeared with the cake. Young spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav led the charge while other players also played their part to perfection as the captain was fully covered with the cake.

Meanwhile, Team India would be a bit disappointed to not give their skipper a good birthday gift as the Men in Blue lost the second T20 International by 40 runs just hours before the birthday celebration.
Kohli scored a fighting 65 but lack of support from the other end did not let India to get the much-needed impetus required to chase down a huge 197.
