Hopes were sky high from Cheteshwar Pujara when he came out to bat in the ongoing second Test between India and Australia in Perth. The right-handed batsman had starred in the first Test, scoring 123 and 71 as India won the game by 31 runs.
Pujara once again came to the crease early when Murali Vijay departed for a duck. India soon found themselves in further trouble after KL Rahul returned to the pavilion too , scoring just 2. Pujara helped India recover from the early setback. However, he could not play a big knock this time. The right-hander could score only 24 and added 74 run with skipper Virat Kohli before being dismissed by Mitchell Starc.
It was an unlucky dismissal for Pujara as he fell victim to a soft dismissal. Starc bowled a short of length delivery down the leg-side and it looked harmless initially. However, Pujara ended up edging the ball behind the stumps.
Here is a clip of the dismissal:

Australia, meanwhile, have taken firm grip of the ongoing Test after making a solid start with the ball. Riding on fifties from Marcus Harris, Aaron Finch and Travis Head, the hosts piled up 326 in the first innings. India, in reply, have started disastrously, losing Vijay for a duck. At time of Pujara’s dismissal, India were 84 for 3.
