Watch: Usman Khawaja’s One-Handed Stunner To Send Back Virat Kohli
Usman Khawaja took a stunner off the bowling of Pat Cummins to send back Virat Kohli cheaply in the first Test between India and Australia.
Before the start of the Test series, Pat Cummins had boldly said that Virat Kohli would not score even a single century in the ongoing Test series.
“My brave, bold prediction; I’d say I think Virat Kohli is not going to get a hundred and we’re going to knock them off over here,” Cummins had said at a Channel 7 event.

Well, it took him only three deliveries to prove his ‘bold prediction’ right as he sent back Kohli for just 3. Cummins should also thank Usman Khawaja for the world-class catch that helped him open his account in the very first over.
India started the proceedings in Adelaide on a poor note, losing both their openers for just 15 runs. Both the openers fell while going for the expensive drives outside the off-stump. And Kohli learned little from their mistakes as he too perished while going for a glorious shot outside off.
Cummins bowled one full and wide of off, inviting Kohli to go for the shot. The India skipper duly obliged. However, he played the shot with hard hands and ended up edging it towards the gully. At one point, it looked like the ball would land safely but Khawaja had other plans in mind. The ball was past him and was travelling with good pace but Khawaja flew to his left and came up with a one-handed stunner. The catch could potentially decide how the rest of the summer would pan out.
