Watch: Virat Kohli In Shock After MS Dhoni’s Massive Six vs Australia
Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a fine day to remember after his team’s triumph against Australia. They were dominating from the word go and left Australia no chance to win the game at The Oval on Sunday.
They asserted their authority on Australian bowlers as the top order contributed collectively. While Shikhar Dhawan managed to get a century, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli scored valiant fifties.
On the other hand, the major positive for India is the form of their middle order. Although, they juggled the order, all players were in good touch. Hardik Pandya was particularly impressive. His quick fire 48 helped India get a major advantage in final 10 overs.
However, the moment of the day came when MS Dhoni hit a massive six against Mitchell Starc. The former Indian skipper heaved a short ball into the square leg boundary. The ball was bowled at a fiery pace and Dhoni eased into his shot as he hit it so effortlessly.
But the talking point came when the replays were shown. More than MS Dhoni, it was Virat Kohli who was excited about the shot. The Indian captain was equally shocked and excited.

The 37-year old played his part in India’s high scoring in last 10 overs. Dhoni scored 27 runs from just 14 balls. His knock had 3 fours and 1 six but the more impressive fact is that he was able to take on a premier bowler like Mitchell Starc.
MS Dhoni once again proved why he is one of the deadliest finishers in world cricket. After a brilliant IPL, Dhoni is looking in fine touch in the ongoing world cup as well. He scored a well made 34 against South Africa and provided much needed support for Rohit Sharma.
On Sunday, we saw a different Dhoni as he went after bowlers in search of runs. The knock is particularly appreciable as he hit headlines for no reason after the South Africa game. The veteran keeper wore Balidaan badge during South Africa game and he made headlines over the past few days.
However, he kept everything aside and played with a positive mind against Australia. India will now play against New Zealand on Thursday and fans hope Dhoni to be in good form yet again.
