Virat Kohli Comes Up With A Classy Reaction After MCG Crowd Abuses Him, See Pics
Virat Kohli’s love-hate relationship with Australian crowd is well-documented in the cricketing fraternity. It all began during the infamous tour of 2011-12 which India lost 4-0. Unable to cope with the hostile crowd, Kohli had ended up flashing the finger at crowd. The incident only piled up the pressure on him as he was failing to do well with the bat. But in the following innings he scored a stunning ton in Adelaide to bounce back. But the tour was just the start of Kohli’s fiery relation with Australia.
The last time India and Australia met in a Test series, it was marred with numerous controversies. India had won the fiercely-fought series at home last year. However, controversies had left a bad taste in the mouth. To make things worse, the Australian media did not leave a single opportunity to target Virat Kohli.
The series of controversies had started when Australia captain Steve Smith took dressing room help in taking a DRS call. A furious Kohli had then stopped short of calling him a cheat in a press conference. However, Kohli had let his emotions get the better of him at the end of the series.
Kohli is in Australia once again and as expected things panned out in fashion which has become common nowadays whenever these two teams meet. The India star once again became the centre of attraction with his on-field behaviour in Perth. He constantly tried to unsettle the opposition batsmen with his verbal volleys.
And the Australian fans have now taken the responsibility of giving it back to the 30-year old. They have tried their best to get under Kohli’s skin in the ongoing series. When he came out to bat in the first innings, the fans greeted him with boos. Kohli then made them pay by playing a sublime knock of 82. The fans seemed to have learned little as they went far as abusing him in the second innings. However, the India star came up with a classy reply, doffing his hat to silence the hostile crowd.
