Playing for Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League match against Melbourne Stars on Tuesday, West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin collided with her team-mate Laura Harris on the boundary line and suffered concussion and was later taken to hospital for treatment.

As reported by Cricket Australia, both women ran into each other in the bid to stop the ball cross the boundary line. During the 11th over in chase, Australia skipper Meg Lanning whacked one to offie Haidee Birkett to deep mid-wicket position, where the ladies their heads crashed and both fell on the ground. Failing in their attempt to do so, the collision saw Dottin fall in a seriously awkward position.

The 25-year-old from Barbados fell on the kit bag and was stretched off the field by the medical staff while Harris fell short of the fence, omitting any serious damage to her and later continued playing in the match. Although, the collision looked scary in real time, which appeared to have done some harm to the innocents on the field.

However, Brisbane Heat defeated Melbourne Stars by five runs.
