Doesn’t matter how small the chase is, you need to be on your toes as the game of cricket can give you twists at any moment. Sadly, Royal Challengers Bangalore was on the receiving end in a clash which is tagged as most important for them to stay alive in the tourney. Naturally, Virat Kohli is the disappointed skipper again.
We brought opposition back into the game: Virat Kohli
Speaking of the match, Virat Kohli quoted that they are the deserving candidates to lose the game. He also added that the opposition has got the guys who can show the application which is something Royal Challengers are missing. Kohli furtherly added that they themselves brought back the opposition into the game.

”It was a (tough defeat) but that is how the game goes. We deserve to lose this game. We were not good enough on the day. 60-odd runs in the first six overs and then we ended up like that. I don’t think we showed enough application. The kind of shots we played, they were not on at that stage. I think we threw it away. I think we let the opposition get back in the game. That has been the story of the season so far,” Virat Kohli quoted.
”The fielding was up to the mark but I think 10-15 runs less would have been ideal for us. This was a tough wicket (to bat). We should have done a better job with the ball but in the field, we were up to the mark. If you have strong characters in the team you can always do well in such a tournament.,” Virat Kohli added to his lines.
Virat Kohli picks three strongest teams of the season:
Speaking of the opposition teams, Virat Kohli quoted that Chennai Super Kings alongside Kings XI Punjab are the strongest teams with the all-rounders in their setup but he termed Sunrisers Hyderabad as the strongest as far as the bowling department is considered.

”Sunrisers have quite a few guys in the team – that has been the story of their season. They understand their team and that’s why they have been so successful. They understand their strengths, know their limitations. That’s been their story and this has been ours. As an all-round team, Chennai and Punjab are good. As a bowling team, Sunrisers are the strongest team,” Virat Kohli concluded while speaking in the post-match presentation.
All in all, it was once again the disappointing performance from the team and most probably, it is the end of the road for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2018. It also meant that the desperate RCB fans need to wait one more year to see their side competing for the glory.
