Talking of the released players, CSK released Sam Billings, Dhruv Shorey, David Willey, Mohit Sharma and Chaitanya Bishnoi. Willey did not participate in IPL 2019 due to family and the franchise decided to release him as well. Shorey got two matches in two seasons with CSK, Mohit played one match in IPL 2019 while Chaitanya did not get to make his debut due to CSK’s tendency of sticking to regulars.
