West Indies, the winners of the 1975 and 1979 World Cup, have announced their 30-men preliminary squad for the ICC World Cup 2015.
Fast bowler Ravi Rampaul has been left out of the squad. West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) haven’t given any justification that why Rampaul has been left out.
Suspended spinner Sunil Narine has also been included in the squad. Narine was suspected for illegal action during the semi-final of CLT20 2014. It would be interesting to see whether he’ll be able to correct his action till January 7th or not (because January 7th is the last date of finalizing the 15 for the World Cup).
The squad also includes six uncapped players: left-arm seamer Kenroy Peters, legspinner Imran Khan, offspinner Ashley Nurse, 19-year-old fast bowler Marquino Mindley, left-hand opener Evin Lewis and allrounder Jonathan Carter.
