West Indies beatSri Lanka by 17 runs in the ODI cricket warm-up match for Champions Trophy at Edgbaston Garden, Birmingham, England on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first.

West Indies finished a challenging 297 in 50 over losing their six wickets.Sri Lankan bowler ThisaraPerera and ShamindaEranga picked-up two wickets each as LasithMalinga and TillakaratneDilshanpicked up one scalp each.

Chasing a target of 298Sri Lankanbatsmen scored 280 losing all the ten wickets in 47 over.Kumar Sangakkara made 56 in 62 balls and DilharaLokuhettige made 42 in 29 balls for Sri Lanka. Dwayne Bravo picked up 3 wickets with Sunil Narine and Ravi Rampaulsharing 4 scalps between them. Kemar Roach and Tino Bestalso picked up one wicket each.

West Indies begin the Champions Trophy proper against Pakistan at The Oval on Friday.
