- Ajinkya Rahane – 4.5/5:
This series was all about Rahane giving his ODI career a new lease of life. With Mumbai batsman being allotted the backup duties through the Champions Trophy, Rahane grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he put on a masterclass in the five games. Scoring an impeccable tally of 336 runs in five games, including four scores in excess of fifty, it’s just fair to say that he has resurrected his ODI career out of what seemed a clear dead end. He is bound to stay with this team as the backup opener once Rohit Sharma returns. Watching him in full flow as always was a sight pleasing to the eyes.
