ToggleThe best part of any sport is the opportunity to make new friends during the progress of their career. Then we find teams, where they would share a lot of stuff, which gell them well, One of those batches is Virat Kohli-led Under-19 team that won the World Cup for Indian Cricket Team. Meanwhile, the team member Shreevats Goswami feels it is nice to continue the friendship.
Shreevats Goswami is currently plying his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2019. He got three of his under-19 teammates in the current team, which he feels like a blessing.
The Best thing is everyone playing from that batch – Shreevats Goswami
Speaking to Times of India, Goswami revealed that the best part of his under-19 team is that they are still playing the game. Few of them are plying their trade in IPL while a few cricketers have gone a long way to bring laurels to the Indian National Cricket Team like Virat Kohli.

He also quoted that it is tough for every member of the same team to represent the Indian team, as there are a lot of cricketers playing the game, especially, domestic cricket. He cherishes that they are still friends.
“The best thing about that team is that everyone is playing. Everyone has made a name for themselves somewhere or the other. All eleven cannot play for the country from the same batch. It’s difficult. There are so many people playing cricket in India. I think the best thing about that team is that we all are still friends,” Goswami told Times of India.
The best thing is our friendship:
Further, Goswami revealed that he got two players from the same side playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The right-handed batsman, who is also the highest-paid Manish Pandey and Siddharth Kaul played for the same team under Virat Kohli.

Shreevats also revealed that he would send a message to Virat Kohli, whenever he does well for the country. He added that it will be the same even when they meet in person off the field as well.
”Manish Pandey is in my team (SRH), Siddharth (Kaul) we play together. Three of us are in Hyderabad. I am in touch with Virat. Whenever he does well I send him a text. Whenever we meet we meet nicely. The best thing about that batch was and is our friendship,” Shreevats Goswami added.
Well, it is pleasing to hear that they are still maintaining their friendship. On the personal front, Shreevats is eagerly waiting to get his chance in the Indian Premier League 2019. He might get the nod when Jonny Bairstow heads back to the home.
