Career graph and reputation:
Dravid, who was himself cricket’s one of the earnest students and absorbed subtle technique to excel in international cricket, has played Test and ODI with a supreme whim. A sea of tranquility in his eyes and cool head ushered him with milestones. Dravid, a classical genre batsman, was a treat to watch at the square. His square cut, one of the difficult cricketing shots but he played it a touch of beauty and wrist. Geometrical footwork and scientific batting stance made his defense impeccable. He was a striker, not a hitter, of cricket’s vintage red ball. His ODI career was not as successful as his illustrative Test career. However, this thing happens to many great Test cricketers likes Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara. But it does not decimate the greatness of Rahul Dravid as he faced many chest level deliveries of many fast bowlers and defended them with sublime skills but he scored runs at difficult conditions prolifically.
Manny cricket scribes think Rahul Dravid is the first choice for India’s coaching job. Dravid himself always believes that if one take over a heavy responsibility he must prepare himself for this and then take over it. So Dravid believes in his process. To fulfill his coaching dream he first becomes the player cum mentor for now suspended Rajasthan Royals and later he become a full-fledged coach for the same.
