Who will finish at the top of ICC Test rankings in upcoming months?

The upcoming months will see a tight contest for the top spot in the ICC Test rankings. India, Pakistan, Australia and England are in the race of becoming the number 1 ranked team in the world.

Australia will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series from 26th July. Australia must beat Sri Lanka to remain the number 1 ranked team. They must be at the top of their game to beat a Sri Lankan team playing at their home. Sri Lanka are struggling at the moment. Australia reclaimed the number 1 ranked team status in Test matches after beating New Zealand 2-0 in February.

The Indian Cricket team who is currently 2nd in the ICC Test rankings will take on West Indies in a four-match Test series starting from 21st July. Virat Kohli-led team needs to defeat West Indies team by 4-0 to reclaim the number 1 rank position. The Indian team needs to play aggressive cricket from the start which will be a challenge against the hosts who seem to be on a revival mode in limited-overs of the game.

The Pakistan Cricket team will start their tour of England from 13th July. They will take on England cricket team in four-match Test series. Pakistan needs to defeat England 4-0. Pakistan needs to play an aggressive brand of cricket. Last time they toured England, the Mohammad Aamir controversy took the limelight.

On the other hand, if the England team can beat Pakistan by 4-0, then England Cricket team could become the number 1 ranked team in the world.

It will be a tough fight for the top spot in the ICC Test rankings. The difference between Australia and India is only 6 points. While the difference between Pakistan and England is just 3 points. These 3 upcoming Test series will decide the top spot in ICC Test rankings.

Australia has a better chance of holding the number 1 spot in Test rankings. They will face a struggling Sri Lanka in 3 match Test series starting from 26th July.

The Test series between England and Pakistan will be an interesting one. This will be a battle between one of best bowling attacks versus a strong batting line up.

After one month’s time, it will be interesting to see if Australia retains number 1 position or new number 1 team will be crowned in Test matches.

The Indian cricket team will try to claim their number 1 place in Test matches which they claimed after South Africa lost to England.

While Pakistan team’s performance in two practice matches has been good, their batsmen need to stand up if they have to defeat England team in their own den.

While England team will be confident to continue their good form as they defeated Sri Lanka in the Test series last month.
