The emergence of the Indian Premier League has been the major positive aspect for Indian Cricket to achieve best results in the International cricket. Few players took the opportunity with both hands to get noticed by the selectors and then get the nod to represent the Indian National Cricket Team at the highest level irrespective of the formats. Meanwhile, MSK Prasad revealed that IPL 2019 isn’t going to be criteria for ICC World Cup 2019 selection.
The major names to come from that were Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. The duo has started their career with Mumbai Indians and went on to bring laurels for the country across the formats.
They have become the major contributors for the team and also bagged the central contracts. Now, they became the regulars for the team in every format of the game.

The major reason behind their career has been the exposure, which they got in IPL. Meanwhile, speaking of the same, the chairman of selection panel MSK Prasad quoted that they will pick the players on the basis of other factors this time, especially, for ICC World Cup 2019. He revealed that the selection of the player in ODI or Test format will not be based on IPL performance.
I don’t think we are looking at IPL showing – MSK Prasad
Further, the chairman of selectors quoted that they got a clear picture to pick their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. He feels that there is no need for IPL for their selection.

“No, I don’t think we are looking at IPL showing,” MSK Prasad, the chairman of the selection committee told India Today. But would a strong performance in the IPL help the selectors fix any undecided slots? “No, not really. We are quite clear,” Prasad said.
Recently, MSK Prasad-led panel decided that they will reveal their squad on upcoming April 15th. The five-member panel will meet at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai to name their 15 members.
It is going to be an interesting squad announcement, as a lot of cricket fanatics and the analysts are waiting to know their players for ICC World Cup 2019. Though there are regulars in the side, the number 4 position, 4th bowler and the backup wicketkeeper slots are the intriguing factors.
